Kyle Akcatel | President
Kyle Akcatel is a junior studying Marketing and Creative Writing at SDSU. It’s his 3rd year with the club, starting from his first semester at State, and he loved every moment of being part of such a tight-knit, passionate community.
Kyle is thrilled to have the chance to lead the club to greater opportunities and he’s looking forward to each one of the club’s meetings together!
Outside of the club, he loves to write, he is an avid film buff, and insistent on maxing out his car’s mileage.
Caitlyn Ruggiero | Vice President
Caitlyn is a senior majoring in business administration with an emphasis in marketing. She’s originally from Massachusetts; in her senior year of high school she moved to Pennsylvania.
She joined the advertising club sophomore year and fell in love with the members of the club and the quality of the meetings where she was able to build and develop skills and learn more along the way. She’s super excited to be apart of helping the club grow even more this semester!
Cassidy Gonzalez | Chief Operating Officer
Cassidy Gonzalez is a senior at San Diego State University. Her involvement on campus is most recognizable through her 2-year Advertising Club presidency; but off campus, she enjoys visual arts, competitive dancing, and traveling abroad.
This spring, Cassidy will receive her B.A. in Journalism with Advertising emphasis, and a minor in I-O Psychology.
She hopes to continue helping brands tell their stories through visual mediums, and provide companies with the resources needed to reach their full potential.
Giovanni Roberto | Treasurer
Giovanni Roberto is a third year majoring in International Business with an emphasis on Italy and Western Europe. He loves learning about other cultures and is currently enjoying gardening.
Beatriz Carvalho | Director of Web Design
Beatriz is graduating this Spring with a Bachelor’s degree in Communication!
During her time at San Diego State, she became involved in various activities such as organizations and employment.
She worked as a Social Media Assistant for SDSU Admissions, ran the School of Public Health’s podcast Social Media while also editing and publishing podcast episodes, was the Social Media Chair for SDSU’s ISA and created the website for the School of Engineering MESA Program. Now she works as a web assistant for KPBS and SDSU College of Professional Studies & Fine Arts!
Outside of her academic and professional life, she loves filmmaking, photography and traveling.

Shannon McKinney | Digital Community Director
Shannon McKinney is a senior at San Diego State University earning her B.S. in Marketing with an emphasis in Integrated Marketing Communications.
Outside of Ad Club, she is also Creative Director for the SDSU American Marketing Association, head Marketing Coordinator at Gen 5 Fertility, and is interning at Conversion Marketing.
In her free time, she likes to rollerblade, travel, and work on art projects. After graduation, she hopes to work at an agency where she can continue to grow her skillset in all areas of marketing and advertising.
Marion Vesprey | Director of Interactive Media
Marion Vesprey is a sophomore at San Diego State University. She is majoring in Marketing—with a specialization in Integrated Marketing Communications.
In her spare time, she enjoys doing graphic design work, reading, and exploring new places. She aspires to continue embracing her creative side by following her passion for design, and by building her knowledge of advertising and business administration.

Tan Hang is a third year marketing and sales major living in San Diego, originally from Orange County, with a love for visual arts. His hobbies include cooking and training MMA.

Cheerful, friendly, and driven! Thalia Hagopian is a Business Administration Marketing major graduating spring of 2021. She loves helping others and is committed to reaching her goals.
On campus, Thalia is an honors student of Fowler Business and other societies, while off campus she utilizes her marketing background in various positions. From volunteer work to industry experience, Thalia always finds herself managing business objectives and collaborating with groups.
While working at V&R Associates, Thalia wants to enjoy her last semester of college by giving back to her peers and assisting students in every way they may need to reach success!
